COOKIE STATEMENT SDIC

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files made up of letters and numbers placed on your local computer by websites. Such cookies can pursue different purposes. A distinction is thus made between functional cookies (for example, when you choose a language); session cookies (or transient cookies); and analytical cookies (which analyze and record the behavior you adopt on the website to be able to offer you an optimal user experience).

The Belgian law on electronic communications (transposition of the Telecom Law) contains some provisions relating to cookies and their use on websites. The application of Belgian law derives from the European directive on privacy and electronic communications. Thus, the use of cookies and the legislation on cookies differ between European countries. SDIC is an online platform aimed at the European market, which implies that the European interpretation applies.

2. What is the use of cookies?

SDIC wishes to inform you as well as possible about the new legislation and the types of cookies it uses. Cookies help SDIC to optimize the visit to its website, by allowing it, for example, to remember your technical choices (a choice of language, for example), and to offer you more relevant and adapted offers and services.

It is recommended to have cookies enabled in order to consult the SDIC website. However, you are free to disable these cookies if you wish (see the title “How can I manage my cookies?”).

We use cookies to improve the visit and use of our website. The cookies we use are secure. The information we collect using cookies helps us identify any errors or provide you with specific services that we think may be of interest to you. It is possible that we save information that concerns you directly. We also use cookies from carefully selected partners with whom we collaborate and who place advertisements relating to our services on their website.

3. What types of cookies does SDIC use?

To consult the SDIC website, it is recommended to enable cookies on your computer, tablet or mobile phone. If cookies are disabled, we may not be able to guarantee you a smooth visit to our website.

If you nevertheless prefer to limit, block or delete cookies from SDIC, you can manage your browser settings as described in point 6.

5. I am not from Belgium. Is another form of authorization required for my country?

Nationals of a State other than Belgium may visit our website. Member states of the European Union often apply cookie laws in different ways, making it difficult for the data subject to determine how to give permission. SDIC will always try to apply the relevant legislation by Member State, as far as this is technically and materially possible.

6. What are my rights?

Since cookies may involve the processing of personal data, you have the individual right to legitimate and secure processing of your personal data. As a subject concerned by the processing of data, you can exercise the following rights:

  • Right to object: if there are compelling and legitimate reasons, you can object to the processing of your personal data.
  • Right of access: any person who proves his identity has a right of access to information relating to the existence or not of a processing of his personal data, as well as to information relating to the purposes of the processing, to the categories of information processed and the categories of recipients to whom the data are communicated.
  • Right of correction: inaccurate or incomplete personal data can always be corrected, or even erased, at the request of the data subject.

The exercise of these rights must always be done in accordance with the terms set out in our Privacy Statement If, after reading this Cookie Statement, you still have questions or comments in this regard, you can always contact us via info@sdic.pro .
